Dr. Alberto Fernandez

A native of Miami, Fl., Dr. Fernandez began his medical education at the University of Miami in 1988 , where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude. After obtaining his BS, he went on to receive his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Fernandez continued at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX where he completed a two year internship in General Surgery and a four year residency in Otolaryngology.

Board certified in Otolaryngology, Dr. Fernandez also holds professional memberships with the following associations:

  • American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery
  • The Triologic Society
  • American College of Surgeons-Fellow
  • American Board of Otolaryngology

Dr. Fernandez is fluent in Spanish and English and has been with South Florida ENT Associates, P.A. since 1998. Dr. Fernandez holds hospital privileges at the following:

  • Baptist Hospital
  • Doctor's Hospital
  • Homestead Hospital
  • Jackson South
  • Miami Children's Hospital
