Dr. Marcy Bussell received her Master of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi. Upon graduation, she was employed at Baylor College of Medicine, where she worked alongside the internationally renowned audiologist, Dr. James Jerger. Here she was immersed in the evaluation and treatment of auditory processing disorders, working with both children and adults in the fitting and dispensing of hearing aids and assistive listening devices. At Baylor, she was also employed by the neuroscience team of Drs. Brenda Lonsbury-Martin and Glen Martin, working to advance the Otoacoustic Emission as a valid clinical tool. It was this team that brought her to South Florida and the University of Miami. Since 1994, Dr. Bussell has worked as a clinical audiologist in both Dade and Broward counties. She has extensive experience in pediatric audiology, and is at ease working with both adult and pediatric populations in the evaluation of hearing and communication issues, fitting and dispensing of hearing aids, and balance disorders. In 2004, she received her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. She is a Fellow with the American Academy of Audiology.
