Maria Serrano obtained her Master’s Degree in Audiology from the University of Tennessee. Upon graduation, she began practicing audiology in Miami until she moved to New York. There, she worked at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, which was established in 1890 as the first Otolaryngology training program in the United States. She then moved back to her native Nicaragua where, thanks to the support of the government of Denmark, she introduced the sales of digital hearing aids. She received extensive training in Denmark as well as in Nicaragua in the field of digital hearing aids. Today, Maria’s main objective is to contribute to the wellness of the people with hearing deficiencies and/or hearing disorders.
