Richard H. Callari, MD, is a surgeon specializing in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He is the Immediate Past Chief of Staff at Broward General Medical Center and Chris Evert Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the Medical Council.
Dr. Callari received his undergraduate degree from Boston University, and his medical degree from Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University.
He completed his surgical internship at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida and his residency at the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Callari, whose father and grandfather were physicians, moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1990 to establish his medical career. He remains in private practice with an office conveniently located at Broward General Medical Center.
Dr. Callari is an active participant of the Broward General Medical Center Quality Assurance Committee. The committee is responsible for defining and implementing strategies that ensure the highest quality of care. Regular review of patient cases, by representatives from all divisions, ensures compliance with nationally recognized standards of care and provides a continuing avenue for physician education.
